Much to the delight of his fans all over the world, noted Hollywood director Christopher Nolan announced the fourth installment of his highly acclaimed movie series ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’. Just back from his month-long holiday to India, a visibly excited Nolan said, “I had bid goodbye to Batman after the grand success of the third movie. But after witnessing the Great Indian Political Drama, I just had to go for the fourth one. I would call it ‘The Dark Knight Rises…Again’” before quickly clarifying, “No Digvijay Singh is not playing the Joker,” leading to boos and jeers from the Indian media.

Giving a feeler of the plot, Nolan divulged, “As a tribute to Heath Ledger, we decided to bring Joker back on this one. I’ve been told reincarnation is daily business in Indian soaps and movies, so no justification on how he came back.”

Unveiling the cast of the movie, he let several cats out of the bag by revealing who’ll play whom. “I initially wanted Dr. Manmohan Singh to play Batman, since he (batman) is supposed to be the silent protector of the country, but then I was told he only fulfilled the former part. But after seeing Arvind Kejriwal, who’s been giving organized criminals a run for their money, I had no doubts in my mind. He will simply play his real self in the movie, no acting whatsoever,” the director exposed.

“Mamata Banerjee was the first choice for Joker with her ‘Agent of Chaos’ image, but couldn’t be cast as she no longer supports the UPA. Fortunately, Salman Khurshid proved his mettle at the right time to grab the role. With the fury of a madman, and the you-can’t-beat-me audacity that he possesses, we have a feeling he’ll match, if not better the original performance,” he further added to the plot.

Shifting from Gotham, the movie will be shot in Farrukhabad, where the joker promises unyielding disorder in case Batman didn’t learn his lesson. Here are excerpts from the reprise of the legendary interrogation scene between Batman and Joker.

Khurshid (Joker): Why so serious Kejri?

Kejriwal (Batman): Why do you want to kill me?

Khurshid (laughing hysterically): I don’t want to kill you. What would I do without you? Go back to ripping the crippled? No..No..No! You…you…complete me.

Kejriwal: You’re garbage who steals from the disabled.

Khurshid: Don’t talk like one of them. You’re not, even if you’d like to be. Let’s not blow this out of proportion. I’m not a monster. I am just behind the curve. A petty robbery of 71 lacs doesn’t even count. And trust me I have a thing for the disabled too.

Kejriwal: Then as the ‘Agent of Law’, why didn’t you take care of them?

Khurshid: When you’re good at something, don’t do it for free. By the way, do you know how I got these scars? (Points towards his head, Kejriwal gives a confused glare)

Khurshid (screaming at the top of his voice): These mental scars you fool!

Kejriwal: No, but I know how you got these. (Sticks a pen in joker’s mouth) Let’s put a smile on that face.

Khurshid: (Ink oozing out of his mouth)You think a pen would hurt me you mortal. I deal in blood.

Kejriwal: I have no time for this. Where are the 71 lacs you pocketed?

Khurshid: It’s in Farrukhabad. You may reach there, but I will see how you come back. Take care.

The scene concludes with Batman fighting with a laptop for not letting him book train tickets to Farrukhabad via IRCTC, even after 2 hours of trying.
